Look at this gorgeous, emerald juices! Recently someone coming from a fitness page asked me if juices contain protein or if you had to add to protein in them. Her question inspired me to create this protein packed juice to share with all of you!
When juicing, the only thing you will not get from the juice is the fiber and the same amount of calories you would get if you were to eat the ingredients whole. You still benefit from the mirco and marco nutrients each ingredient contains and this includes protein.
This juice has over 33 grams of protein to nourish your body with. A fun fact that you may be very surprised about is that a whole head (outer and inner leaves) of romaine lettuce contains 7.7 grams of protein. Also, have you ever juices romaine lettuce? It’s absolutely delightful! I was going to include broccoli into this recipe but to get 7.7 grams of protein, you would need 3 cups of chopped broccoli. I didn’t have much broccoli left in my refrigerator so I figured using 2 heads of romaine would be best. If you’d like to get the variety of nutrients broccoli contains in this juice, just swipe out 1 head of romaine for 3 cups of chopped broccoli.
