Potent Leafty Green Juice

Green juices are one of the healthiest ways to nourish your body.  When you make a green juice, you are feeding your cells with living nutrients that are full of life!  Plants contain vital minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, flavonoids, phytonutrients, proteins, energy, oxygen, water and more!  These are the building blocks needed to help heal your body and maintain good health.

This juice is a beautiful, deep forest green color that is alive! Green plants get their vibrant, heart chakra color from chlorophyll which is created from absorbing light from the sun.  The green pigment produces amazing health benefits, one being the byproduct of chlorophyll actually generates oxygen that you can use for your own body!  Chlorophyll also captures and converts energy which sparks photosynthesis to occur.  The process of photosynthesis works by using the sun’s energy to make sugars out of carbon dioxide from the air and water in the environment.  Photosynthesis needs to take place in order for plants to breathe, grow and make their own food.

I added dandelions in this juice due to the fact they are full of so much chlorophyll!  They are absolutely potent for detox.  This juice will really help you to kickstart some cleansing within the body.  Dandelions also act as a superfood due to their high content of Vitamin A (almost more than any other vegetable!) and are an amazing diuretic that helps to cleanse the kidneys by flushing out excess fluid from the body.  The bitters in dandelions greens work as an wonderful liver cleanser by stimulating the flow of bile to release toxins.  This can help balance the good bacteria in the intestine get rid of waste effectively due to its mild laxative properties helping with digestion. 

If you’re serious about getting toxins and waste of your body, adding dandelions is an excellent way to go about.

  • 5 Apples
  • 5 Kale Leaves
  • 1 Head of Romaine (outer and inner leaves)
  • 1/2 Bunch of Dandelion Greens
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 piece of Ginger
  1. Alternate between juice ingredients ending with the lemon.
  2. Once juiced, strain the liquid and drink immediately. If you have a slow juicer, you can refrigerate your juice up to 24 hours. ENJOY!! Xx

PS.  Like the title says, this one is potent!  I enjoyed this juice drinking from straw like shown in the picture!
