Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! These fully raw “donuts” were so fun to make and not to mention are insanely amazing to eat! These donuts are thinly sliced apples topped with a coconut based chocolate sauce, strawberry cashew yogurt, strawberries, bananas, dried mulberries, shredded coconut, pomegranates, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, chia seeds and some have a sprouted almond butter drizzle… are you in heaven yet because I am!
These donuts are great to enjoy any time of the day whether it be for breakfast, lunch or a snack. As always, they are loaded with nutrition and ingredients that your body will love. Absolutely no processed sugar in these babies. You deserve to enjoy your food and your sweets without the guilt and negative impacts most desserts have on your health.
You can spice up these fully raw donuts any way you’d like with whatever fruits, superfoods or add ons you have on hand in your household. The combinations and possibles you have are truly endless!
Coconut Chocolate Sauce
- 1 1/2 Cups Medjool Dates
- 1 Cup of Fresh Coconut Meat
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Coconut Water
- 3 Scoops of Detox Organics (I looove this stuff! It turns chocolate into a 10 lb superfood! See more info here!) or 3 tablespoons Cacao or Carob powder
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- Blend everything together in a high speed blender until smooth.
Assembling the Donuts
You can use as much sauce as you like but if you are looking to make all the sauce, you will need about 5 apples.
Slice the the apples about a 1/4″ and spread the chocolate sauce on top or you had use your favorite vegan yogurt.
Next add your toppings and ENJOY! Xx
