Getting in some powerful yellow goodness right now! Ginger and turmeric spice carry a wide variety of health benefits with it’s minerals, vitamins and bioactive compounds. The benefits range from reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, fighting off infections, brain function improvement, increasing antioxidants, lowering your risk of heart disease and SO much more! Not only are they potent spices for the body but they taste potent too. You can do shots of them but if you’re someone who can’t handle the strong flavor or just don’t like it, simply add a sweet fruit to your juice to counter balance the flavor. I used apples for this one just you can use whatever sweet fruit you’d like! I also added some lemon in because lemon is always an amazing choice! This juice is super easy to make, delicious and an excellent one to feed your cells!

Recipe

  • 10 Apples
  • Thumb of Ginger
  • Thumb of Turmeric
  • 1 Lemon

Juice all ingredients starting with the leafy greens alternating in the other ingredients ending with the apple.  Once juiced, strain the liquid and drink immediately.   If you have a slow juicer, you can refrigerate your juice up to 24 hours.

I use Namawell’s J2 Juicer which uses a load and walk away slow juicing system.  With proper storing, your juices can last up to 72 hours in the refrigerator.  All of Namawell’s juicers give you more vital micronutrients from fruits and vegetables than leading brands due to its patented technology that extracts 60% MORE leafy green juice. This gives you better flavor while persevering nutrients from oxidation. When looking for a juicer, this is HUGE! Less oxidation means you are getting the FRESHEST juice you can possibly consume.  Not only can you make delicious juices but you can also make nut milks, sorbets and smoothies!
