Nothing like a fresh juice to kick start your morning! Red cabbage gets its beautiful, rich color from anthocyanin polyphenols, which is just another name for dietary antioxidants. This is the case for most fruits – the richer the color, the higher the concentration of polyphenols. Dietary antioxidants are an anti-inflammatory that help protect the body from diseases. Red cabbage has ten times more Vitamin A than green cabbage, which keeps your skin and immune system healthy. It also is a great source of Vitamins C and K and iron. Iron is an important component of hemoglobin, the substance in red blood cells that delivers and stores oxygen throughout your body. Are you ready for this juice?! 😀

Recipe

  • 1/4 Red cabbage
  • 3 Celery stalks
  • 2 Apples
  • 2 Lemons
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 cup Grapes
  • A thumb size of ginger

Place all ingredients in a juicer, strain, and drink immediately!  If you have a slow juicer, you can refrigerant your juice up to 24 hours.  ENJOY!! Xx
