Variety is key! The nutrient content in foods varies a lot more than most people realize. Some factors that contribute to variations are how long the food is stored after harvest, the strain, season, and geographic location where they’re grown. Because of this, it’s important to purchase produce from different organic growers! Each fruit is unique in it’s own way, just like you! 😉 Plant-based foods supply us with a substantial amount of energy and nutrients, which are extracted during metabolization for optimal health. Low carb diets limit the consumption of plants, while plant-based foods are linked to low disease rates and lower body mass. On the other hand, protein and fats create dietary imbalances associated with high rates of chronic diseases. Both fats and protein are important to health but in excess (more than 8-10%), they pose serious adverse effects. Whoever tells you carbs make you fat, doesn’t understand the difference between plant-based WHOLE foods and processed or refined foods. Carbs are our natural source of food, don’t be afraid of them😋🌿💪
